SENSATIONAL MEAT-FREE CHEESE BURGER

This meat-free burger recipe is ready to become an instant classic. Such an easy-to-make vegetarian cheeseburger complemented by a wonderful combination of gourmet cheese and corn on the cob. Our HARVEST GOURMET® Sensational Burger’s amazing savoury taste will turn both vegetarians and non- vegetarians into hard-core fans of these easy meat-free burgers. And the caramelised onions, the fresh tomatoes, the charred corn will be the coup de grâce. This is our easy vegetarian burger recipe – sometimes simple and delicious is all that is needed!

Ingredients
  • 10 ounces HARVEST GOURMET® Sensational™ Burger
  • 10 slices Cheese, blue
  • 10 ounces seeded burger buns
  • 10 ounces corn on the cobs
  • 5 slices small onions
  • 5 slices large vine tomatoes
  • 250 grams shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 Small 1kcal olive spray
Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the HARVEST GOURMET Sensational Burger patties on a baking tray and cook from frozen for 10 minutes, turn halfway through. Remove the burgers from the oven and place a cheese slice on top of each burger. Return to the oven for 4-5 minutes, adding the buns to the oven for the final 2 minutes of the cooking time.

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the onions until caramelised (about 5-10 minutes over a low heat)

    Place the corn on the cob in a pan of simmering water for 5-8 minutes. Heat a griddle pan or frying pan to very hot, spray a small spritz of 1kcal olive spray onto the corn and char for a minute or so turning frequently.

    Stack the burgers! Cut the buns in half. Place one half of the buns onto plates and top with lettuce and tomato. Place the cheesy burger on top and add the crispy onions. Sandwich with the other half of the burger bun.

    Serve with the charred corn.
